Public Safety

Working with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Department and communitygroups to assure our neighborhoods are safe.

Joe's Priorities:

• Support adequate funding for police and fire services

• Promote community and neighborhood watch programs as well as programs to protect our families from internet abuse.

• Invest in crime prevention and youth programs that give young people an opportunity to avoid being pulled into crime.

• Ensure emergency services can respond quickly throughout District 5

• Address root causes of crime through education and opportunity

• Assure that our roads and sidewalks are safe for residents to walk, ride bikes, and otherwise get around our community without being forced into roads.

• Provide appropriate access for people who use wheelchairs or have other mobility challenges to assure their safety and inclusion.
